Rosehip is the fleshy false fruit of a rose. Its shape varies from round to elongated to bottle shaped. Depending on the species and variety of the rose, the colour can be red, orange, purple or black. The rose is found in Europe, Asia, South America, and North America.
Like the apple, the swollen, saucer-shaped, internally hollow flower base forms the pulp. On the top of the flower base is the disc. Rosehip contains many yellowish-white, hard, almost bare, or hairy nut-like seeds.
CO2 extract is made from the dog rose (Rosa canina). Rosehip is rich in vitamin C and also contain vitamins A, B1, B2 and E.

Due to its content of unsaturated fatty acids and natural antioxidants such as tocopherols and carotenoids, rose hip extract acts as a natural skin care product, moisturizers, and anti-ageing agent. The extract is also useful for caring for scars and gives the skin a smoother appearance.
