About Apricot Kernel oil
The Apricot grows in moderately warm regions and is susceptible to frost. The tree is widely planted especially in the USA, South Africa and countries around the Mediterranean Sea. The fruits are mainly dried and widely used for making jam. The kernels are mainly used in baking to replace almonds. For apricot kernel oil, the kernels are pressed by the cold-press method.Â

Application: As a base oil 100%. Apricot kernel oil is a mild, non-greasy oil suitable for any skin type, but especially for sensitive skin. The oil belongs to the semi-drying oils and, partly due to its moisturising effect, is a boon for rough, thin, dry and ageing skin. The oil is also great for delicate baby skin.
Properties: Apricot kernel oil is a light oil and works soothing (also for sunburn), skin activating and firming, toning, slightly astringent, moisturising.
Use: Pure or in mixtures, e.g. for dry or irritated skin, itching, flaky skin and baby care. The oil mixes well with essential oils and other base oils such as Jojoba oil.
